Today we had school at 9 am. We learned about the different department stores in Paris from one of the french professor. His name is Olivier. His presentation was very informative on how the french people act in their daily life. Then we had a quick lunch break. I was able to see my friends Beth and Duyen’s apartment after we took a trip to the Carrefour. Carrefour is a convenient Walgreens in France. It’s pretty nice. They sold really yummy baguettes for only 1 euro. It had a really nice crunch sound, and very soft on the inside. I bought a baguette and a small cup of cheese cubes.
Then we met back up and left to go to the Musee du Louvre. We took the 27 bus to le Musee du Louvre. I recognized a lot of the artwork that we learned in art history, and it was super cool to see all of the different artwork that I didn't know. The building was huge. After the guided tour, Beth, Duyen, and I went to eat at the Louvre restaurant. I was not super hungry so I didn’t eat. I just bought macarons from the McCafe for later.
Before heading back to the apartments, we took pictures outside Louvre by the pyramid, and then we also walked to the beginning Jardin du Tuilleries. We decided to take the 27 bus back home. I showed Beth and Duyen my apartment, and it was super nice to have them over. I tried my macarons with Beth. It was really good. I also sketched a little bit, and it’s turning out really nice.
