Today was the last day of the haute couture lessons with Madam Picco. I was able to do a final mini-project and even finished a mini skirt using the same pleating techniques similar to the one used for the leaf. I’m super grateful that Madam Picco was able to be here to share this technique and educate us about the meaning behind fashion, hard work, and haute couture. I will always remember her.
My crew and I decided to go check out Chinatown. It was a pretty small Chinatown compared to the ones I'm used to. It was less festive, and not a lot of people. I could be wrong though because I went pretty late because of classes in the morning. I'm hoping to come back at an earlier time to see if there is a difference. After Chinatown, we were still pretty energized, so we went to see the one and only...Le Tour Eiffel!
When I walked out of the metro station and saw the tower peaking behind the building, I was already in awe. It felt so real to see it in person. I never imagined that this moment would happen in my life, yet there it was. It was really beautiful. I even bought a chocolate and strawberries crepe. We actually missed the 10 pm light show of the Eiffel tower, so we waited about 45 minutes in the cold for the 11 pm lights to come on. It was cold, but when the lights came on I could not take my eyes off it.
Now I am in bed, and I can finally feel my toes alive again.
Goodnight,
