I slept over at Beth’s apartment on Saturday night because we got back pretty late from the New Years. Today, we planned to go to Sacre Coeur, the Basilica Church on the hill that over sees Paris. It was breathtaking, literally took my breath away because there were so many stairs to climb. When we entered the church, there was a security guard. They have places like this on pretty deep lock down. There are so many things happening in my life right now that I can not explain. I saw so many candles, so I lit a candle for my family. I felt like lighting that candle allowed me to find some peace in my mind. After that we just explored a bit and then headed to Musee Rodin to meet up with Pachia Vang. Pachia has a blog called PXKIN, and she is a Hmong fashion merchandise student studying at Saint Catherine in Minnesota. I really love her blogs, and the different projects that she does. Ever since my friend introduced her Instagram to me, I was hooked. I follow her blog now, and it was such a coincidence to be bumping into each other in the Paris. Kathleen Muas was her study abroad friend. Kathleen is a fashion design student studying at St. Catherine. It was really cool connecting with her as well. I got an idea of how studying fashion was from their perspective, and also what they plan to do after graduation. It was super cool meeting and getting to know them. We grabbed pizza for dinner, and took some pictures at the Eiffel Tower to end our night. Studying abroad continues to be a door of opportunities.
